Meet Michael

Michael has dedicated his life to service and strives to serve the litigants of the 360th Family Law District Court.

Michael Andrew Muñoz has been a practicing attorney for more than 17 years. Michael has extensive Family Law experience specifically in the Tarrant County Family Courts. Michael has litigated, prosecuted, and mediated Family Law cases involving all aspects of Family Law.  Michael was a Managing Assistant Attorney General and managed 5 attorneys, 30 staff members, and 45,000 cases in the Tarrant County Family Courts.

A Strong Texan History

I am a Native Texan, born in El Paso, Texas, and raised primarily in Tarrant County. I attended Arlington Schools, played 5A football, and attended Texas Universities.

I am a graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in Anthropology. I attended Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and have been a practicing attorney for 17 years. I have been practicing Family Law as a trial attorney and have represented Tarrant County residents in private practice and the people of the State of Texas as a Managing Assistant Attorney General.

In addition to Family Law in private practice, I have handled matters in Criminal Law, Personal Injury Law, Bankruptcy Law, Immigration Law, and Corporate Governance Law.

Often Family Law must deal with matters that fall into all those categories. A Family Law Judge or Practitioner should know how all those areas of the law affect the Family, their finances, and their future.

As a Managing Assistant Attorney General, I managed a field office of the Texas Attorney General in the Child Support Division. I was responsible for up to 34 Child Support Officers including 5 Attorneys General. I managed a caseload of 45,000 cases and would handle court dockets of over 100 cases in a day. I was integral in streamlining those dockets and was recognized in 2013 as a Rising Star in management and in 2014 as Assistant Attorney General of the Year for my work in streamlining dockets and going paperless and implementing e filing.

I also served on the statewide forms committee and presented at the Statewide Assistant Attorney General Conference.
